Disney California Adventure is welcoming the Year of the Horse in equine style with a special horse-shaped sourdough bread for the 2026 Lunar New Year.
Everyone’s Gone Horse Crazy
Disney Parks recently shared a preview of the adorable new bread on social media, describing it as crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and embodying the strength and power associated with the horse in Chinese zodiac tradition. The bread will be available at Aunt Cass Cafe in San Fransokyo Square, where guests can already purchase the popular Mickey and Baymax shaped sourdough loaves.
This creative bread continues Disney’s tradition of zodiac themed treats for Lunar New Year. Last year featured snake-shaped sourdough for the Year of the Snake.

The Disney Lowdown
The Lunar New Year festival runs from January 23 through February 22, 2026, at Disney California Adventure. The celebration honors Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese traditions with festival marketplace food booths, live entertainment including Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession and character appearances. Mickey and Minnie will wear Korean-inspired outfits, Goofy and Clarabelle will don Vietnamese áo dài and Donald and Daisy will appear in Chinese hanfu. Special guest Horace Horsecollar will also appear in Chinese-inspired attire.
All Lunar New Year festivities are included with Disney California Adventure park admission, though food and beverages cost extra.
