A look at horses with reverse dapples around the world and in a variety of different breeds.
There is something flashy about an animal with dappling and they can appear on a variety of different colors and white patterns. This is not a particularly rare marking and can be found on most breeds. What is rare is reverse dappling. Dapples are usually patches of light color on a field of darker base color and this is most commonly found during a stage of the greying process. Reverse dapples are dark patches of color on a lighter base color and perhaps most often found on roan or appaloosa animals.
