Wall Eyed Horses

A look wall eyed horses around the world and on a variety of different breeds.

Wall eye is simply a (sort of yucky) way to describe a horse with blue eyes. Generally associated with pinto white patterns, blue eyes can also be found on solid colored animals. Minimally expressed splash and overo pattern families can produce solid colored animals with blue eyes.

Blue and White

Double cream dilutions also produces pure white coats with pink skin and blue eyes, it is a characteristic of a double cream. Plus there are a variety of genetics that produce dominant white animals, some with blue eyes. In the examples below some patterns appear, cream dilutions seem to produce a lighter, creamy blue that pinto patterns and even dominant white don’t seem to express.
