I am a recent graduate with a B.A. in fine art. I have an emphasis in painting (using mostly oils), but am beginning to incorporate more photography into my work. I am a self-taught, full-time, wildlife and nature artist, who specializes in the mediums of both oil and watercolor. All my works are original creations, and have never been duplicated. I try to portray my subjects, especially animals, with as much realistic detail as possible, so that a beholder might be heard to say that they, virtually, “come alive”!

I am not from anywhere yet from everywhere – my father was in the Navy, so we moved around a lot. As a young adult, I also served in the Navy from 1985 to 1994, and thus continued to move around. I settled back in Florida in the mid ‘90s, reaching Central Florida in 2008. I’m an example of a multi-careered individual, having worked in the restaurant industry, graphics design, and website development and hosting.

When did you take your first picture?
Well take and make are two different things. I don’t remember the first photo I took. We all pushed a shutter release button at sometime in our life. I do remember the first photos I ‘made’. I was in high school and our family was on vacation visiting relatives. My parents were nominated to be ‘photographers’ for an organization they belonged to.
