Zangersheide Horse

Intro

Created specifically for show jumping, the Zangersheide Horse, like many sport types is bred specifically for temperament and athletic performance.

Origins

Bred specifically at the stud farm in Zangersheide, Belgium, the Zangersheide was established in the early 1970’s to breed quality showjumping horses. By 1992 a studbook was created specifically for animals with natural jumping ability.

Being relatively recent, this breed was developed using the latest scientific skill and selective breeding. This breed has grown and today is exported throughout Europe and even to Argentina. The latest DAD-IS shows their numbers at 4736-7104 in 2013.
