Dominican Republic Half-Blood

Intro

There is next to no information about the Dominican Republic Half-Blood other than their listing in the DAD-IS as a separate local breed of the country.

Origins

It’s likely they are local Criollo or Paso animals that have had outside genetic influence. Or perhaps this type is simply a local animal, bred without regulation or approved bloodlines. Either way, they probably originated out of a local need. It’s impossible to say for sure until we can find more information about them. The image example is most obviously not a Criollo (but is from the Dominican Republic) and is hopefully representative of half-blood animals.
