Abou’Ourquob Arabian Horse

Intro

The Abu’Ourquob Arabian is not a separate breed, it is a strain of Asil, or purebred Arabian horse bred exclusively in Yemen (there are several strains bred in the nation).

Origins

Yemen is a hot contender for being the cradle of Arabian horses, but their origins (and those of many important strains) have been lost to the sands of time. There is likely rigorous records kept, as Arabian breeding is serious business. Often a family affair and perhaps their records are kept within the fold.
