Many Thanks To The Artists

It has been a lot of fun to show off Kimberly’s art for this festive week and I’m almost sad it is over (ok, it’s not really over until someone wins the Derby). I wanted to take a minute to thank Kimberly for including The Equinest in her Derby week celebration and Linda for sharing her work with us today.

About Kimberly

Kimberly at workKimberly Santini is a talented artist who has challenged herself to an ambitious project painting a new dog every day.

For derby week she will take a hiatus from her canine portraits to paint horses instead. Subscribe to her studio blog, read her interview and follow her on twitter @ksanitini to learn more about her and her art.

About Linda

LindaPrimarily self-taught, Linda Shantz’s artistic education has come from hours of drawing time and direct involvement with the animals she so admires. She works in oil, oil pastel and pencil, and focuses on a variety of equine and canine subject matter, as well as commissioned portraits of all animals. In her paintings she strives not only to capture accurate anatomy, but the spirit of the animal as well.

Be sure to subscribe to her art blog, follow her on twitter @LindaShantzArt and stay tuned for her interview posting right here on Monday morning.
