Horse Trekking in Iceland

Due to their isolated location, strict import laws and dedicated breeding practices the Icelandic Horse boosts one of the purest bloodlines on the planet.

This video shows a group of riders on a trek in Iceland, they are accompanied by a herd of horses which they take turns riding.

Icelandic horses are gaited, athletic and known for their happy-go-lucky attitude.

Some of my favorite horse pictures are of Icelandic horses, they come in a rainbow of colors and their eager personality always shows through.
