What beautiful pictures! Thank you for posting. There is a Robert Bresson movie called “Au Hasard Balthazar” (1966) about a donkey, and the people around him. I haven’t seen it yet, but have been meaning to….
Just added a mini donkey to our “herd” of two horses, (mare-Baskir Curly/BLM Mustang) and (gelding- approx. 30 yr old appendix) we will soon have 2 minis as she is VERY pregnant!!!!! Can’t wait, the female is adorable and very affectionate, the baby will be all the better too!!!! Who knew Donkeys could be so much fun and lovable!!!

I love donkey’s…they are the best friends to have and the best pasture guards from preditors.
We have two Donks, a lovely couple who adore each other and bring us so much joy and laughter!
Donkeys are so much the personality that they are – by this I mean if you thought horses were difficult then try donkeys! I rode two in a donkey derby, one bucked me off – everyone off – the other was a little angel – white donkeys are more sensible than grey ones in my opinion. They are not willing unless they choose to be but their ears are hugely cute and for such small creatures, they have big personalities!

Being a horse person, I never really got into the donkey ‘ass’pect of things:P They never really intrigued me, as much as the horses do. But now, I can see what a gift they really are!(: They’re amazing and special, in their own unique way! too cute!(:
