Fantastic Old Horse Photographs 3

Triangle Memorial Parade
It’s interesting to see how horse culture has transformed since photography became commonplace. If you haven’t seen the first 2 of the series be sure to check them out Pt. 1 | Pt. 2.

Advanced Society

Today we have millions of images of horses to browse through, but these were taken when a camera was innovative technology and one photograph was a much rarer element of life. Many of them were lucky finds and portray everything from well-known historical characters to displaced cultures.

Many of these images capture moments in time that we can only imagine in our modern lives, a peek at people, places and animals that no longer exist.

A Big Collection

While there are some famous (& infamous) historical characters here, I have to say I like the image of Big Bear the best. While it’s not the greatest quality, the subject’s seat & obvious horsemanship more than make up for it. Be sure to check out the first two parts of the collection too. Pt. 1 | Pt. 2.
