Awhile back I posted a collection of stable images from around the world (pt. 1 & pt. 2). It’s quite interesting to see the differences in style from place to place & country to country.
Horses Around the World
Every place is a little bit different, their culture, their norms and the way they keep their animals. From the old and lovely arches of the Moroccan stable to the clean lines of the one in New Jersey, the space is clearly built to suit local climate and needs.
In the end it’s all about the space being functional, but it seems we all have a different view of what functional means…
Where is Your Stable
To most horse people, the stable is a second home so it has a big place in our hearts. I love to see all of the different environments that animals are kept, some of which I’d prefer over others! Don’t forget to check out pt 1 & pt 2 and stay tuned, I may just find more.
I love the New Jersey and Spanish ones best, they’re big and seem to have plenty of room, plus I’m a sucker for American Barn style stabling 😀
I love the Spanish and Morocco stables! So pretty and the architecture!
The new jersey one can’t have possibly been used for horses yet. It’s so clean!
Canadian Barns do not look like that! Well, some do.
Ah….love the simplicity of the Irish…..with brightly coloured doors of course!
Interesting choice for the picture of the Canadian stables. Most of our stables look remarkably similar to the US (Virginia; New Jersey) barns – especially show barns. I would love to live in a climate where we could have stables like the Irish.
