Horse shoes are often overlooked, but for such a functional item, they can be quite beautiful. As usual my image searches can turn up some great ideas and this is one of them.
Useful on Many Levels
Not just to keep your horses feet off the ground, shoes also represent good luck. As the saying goes, only hang a horse shoe with the heel up, otherwise all of the good luck will spill out.
So here it is, a photographic tribute to one of the hardest workers in the horse industry with the most thankless job…shoes.
Setting The Mood
While some of them look rather forlorn, at least the photographer (& hopefully you) saw the simple beauty in their form. My favorite shot is the jumping horse, what a great way for old horse shoes to spend their retirement. If you liked these, you may also enjoy a look at antique horses.
Thanks for noticing and using my photo of the horseshoe horse jumping the fence. This always brings me a smile when I pass it on my commute.
I love that horseshoe horse jumping the fence!
