Horse cultures can be found in all corners of the globe and it’s important that we preserve them. The onslaught of mechanization during the 20th century redefined our relationship with this noble animal. We want to celebrate all horse cultures of he world, even if we find some of them disagreeable.
Arabian Nation
While there are obviously horses in Bahrain, images of them can be elusive. A bit of research shows they possess deep breeding traditions of purebred Arabians, called Asil. Their Royal Stud claims to have more pure Arabian strains than anywhere else in the world. Unfortunately our research searches find no reported breeds, as some countries prefer not to report livestock statistics to global databases.

Breeds of Bahrain
As mentioned, statistics about the breeds in Bahrain are not listed in most breed databases, however it’s obvious that the Arabian rules the roost in the nation. The country clearly takes their breeding extremely seriously and if you look at the Royal Stud’s website (FYI, it’s not https, so we didn’t link to it) their Asil strains are magnificent and clearly well bred.
