You can see how bad the english is – shortly after receiving the email, a series of texts followed – some included pics of a gorgeous Friesian horse. The scam was that the horse was free – but I couldn’t see it because they had moved from washington state to Kentucky – however they would give me the horse but I had to pay for the shipping. They said they were going to use “Uship” – which I have used in the past so I wasn’t sure how they were working that angle. The email was from a “Solange Manthins” but the name in the ad was a Morianna Almanza. There were also two additional ads for the same horse under different names, but the same phone number and the owner was listed as “spencer”. I suspected – first based on the horrible english – that it was a scam but kept them talking to see what the scam was. I confronted them finally and they accused me of being a scammer 🙂 and told me to leave them alone 🙂 Anyway, the same ad is placed in every state. So everyone looking to find a Friesian that is affordable (like myself) – BEWARE

I JUST got this exact same email, same name and everything. I was so close to falling for it too! I am glad I found this before I made a huge mistake!

we found it strange that they said they were local to us in the listing but then stated that they were in Maryland when emailed. So we decided to look into them, thank you so much for having this information on here. It let us know that it was a scam before things could progress.

Nice reading from you in regards to my Friesian gelding.He will come with all health papers and one year health guarantee. This gelding {kiki} is very Intelligent, completely healthy and sound great, sane, trail horse deluxe!has awesome four beat gaits. will also canter if you ask him to do,not spooky, forward moving and enjoys trail riding. lunges beautifully and listens to voice cues well. one of the best horses I have ever rode and will do what you ask of her when you ask.loves attention and grooming and is easy to groom, trim, shoe and handle in every way. has great feet but I keep shoes on him in the hot and cold weather just because of terrain he would be. I am giving him out because of my new job that i just found here in Denver(COLORADO) and also since i was involved in a car accident with my wife and we both can’t ride any more. My wife was an experienced beginner and she really enjoyed riding where as I am an experienced rider and also enjoy riding kiki. So therefore, I am sure that it will be great for just about any riding level from experienced beginner on up the scale.I also know that kiki would make a fantastic field trial horse if some one was interested in him for that because kiki has great,Endurance and listens so well. I want kiki to find a great home and will only Give to such a home. Also, kiki is fine with other horses or without them.He has lived in a boarding situation before and did just as well as he does in a private home situation. up to date on vaccines and dental care. I don’t know what else I can say about kiki other than if you are looking for a horse that will be the same everyday and bring you hours of enjoyment whether out on the trail or in the pasture then,he might be the horse for you! I thought I would go ahead and post him so that somebody could start enjoying him. Before i let you have the gelding i will like to know the following about you.. we Just relocated to Denver(COLORADO) and that is where the horse will be coming from. so since we are not selling him then you will just need to pay for her transportation fee over which is $1000 not to me but to the DELIVERY AGENCY okay.
