A Seasonal Difference – The Beauty of Horse Colors

For those who have had the great fortune of knowing an appaloosa or grey horse, they know what a difference a season or two can make. With some animals changing drastically.

The Hair Difference

We were lucky enough to find these two similar images of the same animal with the cutest half blaze marking on its face. The real difference is that they were taken during different seasons. The pinto patterns don’t tend to change seasonally like a grey or some appaloosas, but it is still fun to see the difference some extra hair makes on this pretty little pinto.

Similar but Different

Not only does this pony have an interesting face marking, but there could also be a flaxen modifier at work to lighten mane and tail hairs. Regardless of the actual genetics, what a cute pony!
