Intro
Like many of the breeds found in Pakistan, the Makra Horse is a light saddle horse, often found with extreme curved ears.
Origins
While similar to other breeds in the nation, their ears don’t tend to curve as far as some of the other types. They also have a tendency to have white markings on both face and legs (probably a pinto pattern at work). There is very little information about this breed, however it may be that they were developed as a colored strain, breeding for their interesting white markings.
Whether or not there are any pure Makra animals left is up for debate. The latest population data in the DAD-IS is from 1988 and at that time there were between 100 and 1000 of them.
