Intro
As the name implies, the Honduran Criollo de Paso is a cross of the handsome Criollo and lively stepping Paso Fino animals. A common mix found throughout Central and South America. Both breeds have fine riding horse qualities, along with being extremely hardy and adaptable.
Origins
The term Criollo refers to an animal or person who is native to the Americas, but has Spanish ancestry. Criollo horses have a foundation of mainly tough Barb and Andalusian blood and have been bred in many countries since they arrived with Spanish colonizers.
