Breeds of horse found in Tanzania, an East African nation known for its vast wilderness. There is only one reported breed of horse found in the country and they are not considered native.

Horses are not native to Tanzania and there are probably a variety of reasons for this. Lack of suitable horse grazing land, and top level predators probably top the list. Domestic horse likely doesn’t have the instinct required to shake a hungry lion.
