Franz kruger was the grandfather of my greatgrandfather. Unfortunately I haven't many info about him. I know his family was a noble family and he married a beautiful opera singer. His son was an entomologist and the son of his son ( my greatgrandfather george karl kruger) was entomologist as well. He studied in berlin and in London and travel all around the europe to find new species of butterfly and other insects. Finally he came to Italy and married an italian noble woman. They had two children, one of these was my grandmother Maria Amalia kruger Who died in 1986. Now we have no info about other relatives remained in germany because the most part of the kruger family died during the second world war. All members of our family have a great love for animals and nature in all her shape. And besides, some members of our family have inherited a little disposition for painting. I am one of them. I 'm not a painter but provided with a natural ability I 've always liked drawing especially portraits and trees. I know some time ago there has been a big exposition of franz kruger pictures at Hermitage but I didn 't succeed in finding the catalogue. I'm sincerly glad you like so much the great " pferde" kruger. Ps: riding is my favorite sport. Chiara kruger
