Description
Perennial herbs with long, flowering stems, can be branched or simple, hollow or solid. Flowers have six lobes and comes in a variety of colors.

Only during drought conditions, unpalatable. Generally planted ornamentally in landscaping.

Symptoms
Gastrointestinal upset, bloody diarrhea, excessive drooling.
Danger
Contains a glycoside called iridin which upsets the gastrointestinal system.
