{"id":9897,"date":"2025-10-02T03:58:47","date_gmt":"2025-10-02T03:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theequinest.com\/breeds\/?p=9897"},"modified":"2025-10-02T04:04:56","modified_gmt":"2025-10-02T04:04:56","slug":"moravian-warmblood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theequinest.com\/breeds\/moravian-warmblood","title":{"rendered":"Moravian Warmblood Horse"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Intro<\/h3>\n<p>Like most warmblood types, the Moravian is bred for temperament, athletic ability and other specific characteristics, rather than breeding for lineage.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>The foundational bloodlines for this breed include <a href=\"\/breeds\/furioso\">Furioso<\/a>, <a href=\"\/breeds\/gidran\">Gidran<\/a>, <a href=\"\/breeds\/nonius\">Nonius<\/a>, <a href=\"\/breeds\/shagya-arabian\">Shagya Arabian<\/a> and <a href=\"\/breeds\/kisber-halfbred\">Kisber-Flever<\/a>. These crosses produced a specific type and throughout the mid 20th century they had a dedicated studbook. <\/p>\n<p>In 1971 they were absorbed into the <a href=\"\/breeds\/czech-warmblood\">Czech Warmblood<\/a> studbook where <a href=\"\/breeds\/trakehner\">Trakehner<\/a> blood was introduced. In 1996 an effort to reestablish the Moravian Warmblood as their own breed was started.
