Later, during the 19th century they were crossed with the <a href=\"\/breeds\/datong\">Datong Horse<\/a> to improve their bloodlines. Today they are among the most common animals found in China and three strains have emerged Kensheng, <a href=\"\/breeds\/jiaoke\">Jiaoke<\/a> and Suoke.<\/p>\n<p>Of the three strains, this one possesses the most <a href=\"\/breeds\/mongolian\">Mongolian<\/a> influence. The Hequ is quite stout in general, this strain appears to be a bit smaller due to the Mongolian blood.
