{"id":9776,"date":"2025-09-17T20:51:56","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T20:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theequinest.com\/breeds\/?p=9776"},"modified":"2025-09-17T20:51:56","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T20:51:56","slug":"hispano-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theequinest.com\/breeds\/hispano-english","title":{"rendered":"Hispano English Horse"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Intro<\/h3>\n<p>Like the name indicates, the Hispano English Horse is a cross between two very influential breeds of horse, the <a href=\"\/breeds\/andalusian-horse\">Pura Raza Espa\u00f1ola<\/a> and the <a href=\"\/breeds\/english-thoroughbred\">English Thoroughbred<\/a>.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>Officially established early in the 20th century (these bloodlines are likely to have been unofficially crossed many times) with the objective of injecting some speed into the Andalusian bloodlines to more effectively work cattle. The result was an animal that was faster, but also highly strung, not at all suitable for working with cows. <\/p>\n<p>The obvious solution was to add some <a href=\"\/breeds\/arabian-horse\">Arabian<\/a> genetics, which seemed to do the trick.
