While they don&#8217;t appear to be an official breed, they are usually considered a strain of the <a href=\"\/breeds\/arewa\">Arewa<\/a> with notable <a href=\"\/breeds\/arabian-horse\">Arabian<\/a> influence.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>This breed is deeply ingrained in the mythology of the nomadic Tuareg people who keep them, although some oral traditions say their foundation studs were from out of the area, but they were always bred to local mares.
