The Priobskaya, Priob or Ob Pony is a small draft breed that is part of the North Russian Pony group they are bred in the Khanty-Mansi district of western Siberia near the Ob and Irtysh rivers.

The origins of the Priob are a mystery, but they are thought to have been used in the region for a very long time. Still raised in the same semi-feral state, grazing free in the summer and rounded up for work as pack animals or in the forests during winter months. <\/p>\n
This breed is similar in appearance to the Narym<\/a> and Yakut Ponies<\/a>, all of which come from an extremely cold, difficult climate for equines.
