The Black Abaga, Sengseng Black Horse or Abaga horse is a variety of Chinese Mongolian horse<\/a> that is often bred for running and notable for their generally black color. This is a rare breed found in the northern Abag Banner of Inner Mongolia. Their native grasslands are prime horse breeding territory, but also deliver harsh winter conditions. Horses have been bred in the area for a very, very long time and the Abaga roots are deep. They are a hardy breed and the result of natural and deliberate selection in an inhospitable terrain.
