Called the Kurdi for their association with Kurdish people of eastern Turkey, Iraq and Syria.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>There is not much information about their history, but the East Anatolian is likely a strain of <a href=\"\/breeds\/anadolu-pony\">Native Anadolu<\/a> which has seen infusions of <a href=\"\/breeds\/arabian-horse\">Arabian<\/a> over the years, making them hardy, but also quite beautiful. <\/p>\n<p>While a robust type, their breeding is not consistent and the DAD-IS lists them as extinct.
