Small ponies have roamed the island for years bearing a striking resemblance to their Mongolian ancestors.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>Agricultural needs after the second World War saw crosses with larger breeds to create their 14 hand size. However, since the mid-20th century these pony&#8217;s numbers have struggled significantly.
