According to the DAD-IS they are considered extinct as of 2006.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>Established at the end of the 19th or early 20th centuries, this breed is known for its toughness and ability to thrive on poor fodder. These scrubby little horses didn&#8217;t have any central breeding programs and were likely left semi-feral during parts of the year.
