The NRPS Pony or Dutch Riding Pony is a relatively new registry and animals are bred for sport. These ponies are distinct because they must carry Arabian<\/a> blood to register. Established in 1981, when the NRPS studbook became a subsection of the Arab Horse Studbook in the nation. Today they are recognized in Europe and have 11 provincial departments. In order to register with them, animals must possess Arabian or Anglo-Arabian blood. They also have separate categories for horses and ponies. <\/p>\n An appreciation for Arabian blood is found worldwide and their genetics run through the veins of many modern breeds.
