{"id":789,"date":"2010-08-09T12:04:19","date_gmt":"2010-08-09T12:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theequinest.com\/breeds\/?p=789"},"modified":"2025-10-29T00:02:24","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T00:02:24","slug":"lewitzer-pony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theequinest.com\/breeds\/lewitzer-pony","title":{"rendered":"Lewitzer Pony"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Intro<\/h3>\n<p>Also called the Lewitz, the Lewitzer Pony is a fairly recent breed that was developed late in the 20th century.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>Breeding began in 1976 by crossing various pony breeds including <a href=\"\/breeds\/shetland-pony\">Shetland<\/a> and <a href=\"\/breeds\/norwegian-fjord\">Fjord<\/a> with <a href=\"\/breeds\/arabian-horse\">Arabian<\/a>, <a href=\"\/breeds\/trakehner\">Trakehner<\/a> and <a href=\"\/breeds\/thoroughbred\">Thoroughbred<\/a> animals.
