They can be found in the Apennine Mountains between the milia and Tuscany regions.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>A relatively new breed for the nation, the Apennine breed began late in the 20th century. Frieberg animals were imported from Switzerland and introduced them to land in the hills above Iano. They adapted to the climate incredibly well and the breed grew quickly.
