Making them a sturdy breed that is lighter, taller and faster than the ponies found on some of the other Indonesian islands.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>Pony breeds found in Indonesia are part of the Southeastern Asia Pony group and descendants of Chinese and Mongolian animals brought to the islands. Over the centuries, breeds were crossed between islands and imports from the UK or the Netherlands may have left their mark.
