They are now extinct.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>This strain developed into a separate breed due to years of breeding in the Auge area and the influence of local climate and soil. In the early 20th century, they were contested as a breed and by some considered simply a variety of Pecheron.
