Intro<\/h3>\n

The Tieling Draught Horse or Tieling Trait is a draft breed native to Tieling region in Liaoning Province, China. Developed specifically for local agricultural needs at a single stud in Jiao.
\n<\/p>\n

Origins<\/h3>\n

A relatively new breed given the ancient bloodlines found in China, Tieling Draught animals are bred in an agricultural region where powerful horses were in high demand. The area is well suited for horse breeding. Established in 1949 with 44 mares from various Mongol types crossed with Anglo-Norman<\/a> and Anglo-Arabian<\/a> animals. After 1951 Percheron<\/a> and Ardennes<\/a> were added to the mix. <\/p>\n

Later another wave of new blood was added including Russian Draft<\/a>, Jinzhou<\/a> and Orlov Trotter<\/a>. However with all of the bloodlines used, Ardennes is said to have the greatest influence over the breed. <\/p>\n
