A light riding horse from Afghanistan, the Waziri Horse probably has the same ancestors as the Baluchi<\/a> of Pakistan. They are a cross between Afghan horses and Arabian<\/a>. Unfortunately there are no official studbooks or centralized breeding programs in Afghanistan. While the country cherishes a long and distinguished equine culture, information about the animals is difficult to find. There are not specific breeds in the country, but more types that all fall under the broad category of Afghan horses. Like the Baluchi<\/a>, Marwari<\/a> and Kathiawari<\/a>, this type has crescent shaped ears.<\/p>\n Bred by the Pashtuns (Pathans), considered the founders of modern Afghanistan.
