These donkeys were selectively bred robust enough to meet the specific needs of the people of Berry.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>The original origins of this breed are speculated, but unknown. In 1986 there developed concern about preserving the folk traditions of the area. A fair was established to celebrate those traditions and the animals who were instrumental in making them happen.
