Their lineage was absorbed into the <a href=\"\/breeds\/dutch-warmblood\">Dutch Warmblood<\/a> (KWPN) and they are now a type under that registry.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>This is a breed that comes from the careful breeding of various European breeds including <a href=\"\/breeds\/anglo-norman\">Anglo-Norman<\/a>, <a href=\"\/breeds\/holsteiner\">Holstein<\/a>, <a href=\/breeds\/oldenburger\">Oldenburger<\/a> and <a href=\"\/breeds\/east-friesian\">East Friesian<\/a> to native Gelderland mares. The resulting animal proved to be an elegant carriage horse that also had natural jumping talent.
