There is a small gene pool of animals kept pure blood, carefully kept to preserve genetics. The rest are distributed throughout the country to improve racing capability of other strains.

Animals of this breed are left to graze freely, keeping stallions separate from mares and geldings. Inbreeding is carefully controlled, never allowing females of breeding age to be near their fathers.

Features

Average height 12 – 14 hands

Physique

Body is smaller and narrower than other Mongolian strains
Agile head
Sharp eyes
Legs are thick and strong
Hooves are hard

Traditional Colors

All colors can be found.
