The influence of Berber blood and that of Eastern breeds refined their appearance.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>This type has the build of a small horse and comes from the Pyrenees region. They were probably brought to the area by the Moors in the 8th century. Over the centuries they have been refined by several breeds, including Arabian and French Riding Ponies. The result is a riding pony with harmonious conformation. Slightly larger than both the Landais and barthai ponies from the same region.
