The Calvinia Horse is named for the town in which they were bred. This breed is listed as extinct in the DAD-IS as of 2006.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>This breed was developed during the 19th century in the western cape of South Africa.
