They are tough, hardy animals capable of covering long distances as easily as they handle cattle.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThis breed comes from ancient Georgian horses, but were strongly influenced by a number of eastern breeds. Thought to date back to between the 1st and 3rd centuries, this is a breed shaped by their environment. Their robust nature made them great as military mounts and as work horses.
