They are a strain of the original <a href=\"\/breeds\/maremmano\">Maremmano<\/a> breed, their genetics different due to an infusion of <a href=\"\/breeds\/english-thoroughbred\">English Thoroughbred<\/a>.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>Although it is known that their bloodlines are ancient, their exact origins are a mystery. However they are thought to originally possess <a href=\"\/breeds\/barb\">Berber<\/a> blood.
