This is an incredibly rare breed and the few pure animals remain in Iran.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>Heftier than the Arabian found in Iran, this breed was originally developed as a warhorse. They required a strong animal that was larger and sturdier. The two bloodlines complimented each other and the breed managed to last after mechanization made them obsolete for war.
