They are a mixture of <a href=\"\/breeds\/arabian-horse\">Arabian<\/a>, <a href=\"\/breeds\/thoroughbred\">Thoroughbred<\/a> and <a href=\"\/breeds\/dongola\">Dongala horses<\/a>.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>As the breeds is a more recent addition, it seems some care was taken in selection of foundation bloodlines. They likely began as an attempt to use finer Arabian and Thoroughbred genetics to improve the rough local Dongala type.
