The breed comes from a cross between local <a href=\"\/breeds\/westphalian\">Westphalian<\/a> animals and English Westmoorland blood.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>Created during the 20th century on the Lehmkuhlen estate, they are a relatively new breed.
