They are known for their speed, endurance and robust nature.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Origins<\/h3>\n<p>The Anadolu breed comes from Turkey and draws on the blood of several ancient breeds, including the <a href=\"\/breeds\/arabian-horse\">Arabian<\/a> and <a href=\"\/breeds\/akhal-teke\">Akhal-Teke<\/a>. Although the Anadolu bloodlines are ancient in their own right. <\/p>\n<p>The Turkish people have always had a need for this versatile native pony in farm work, as pack animals and for transportation. The breed also requires little care, making them easy to own almost anywhere in the country.
