Description
A perennial tropical plant with tough stems and leaves. Leaves are pointed, large and marbled with white / yellow. Flowers grow in a spadix surrounded by a spathe.
Concern Level
Only during drought conditions, unpalatable. Often found in landscaping and gardens.
Toxic Parts
All parts of the plant are toxic.
Symptoms
Pain, swelling and burning of the mouth and throat, diarrhea, gastrointestinal upset.
Danger
Contains calcium oxalate crystals which can be fatal.
